Ericka Scuderi started dancing at the age of thirteen at a local studio in York, Pennsylvania. She continued her training at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and later at Point Park University on scholarship. Ericka has danced professionally with many classical and contemporary ballet companies including the Northern Ballet Theatre, the Ballet Theatre of Maryland, Ballet for Young Audiences, The Staten Island Ballet, Octavia Cup Dance Theatre, Dances Patrelle, and as a guest artist with the Harford Ballet Company. The highlights of her career include traveling to China to perform an original ballet for the Nanning International Folk Song Arts Festival and performing as the Sugar Plum Fairy in her favorite ballet, The Nutcracker. Ericka has been teaching young dancers for many years alongside her performance career. Before joining the Early Dance Division faculty at MYB, she most recently served as Ballet Mistress and lead teacher at the Long Island City School of Ballet in New York for six years.
