Jennifer Ferguson is a native of the DC area and received her early training from the Washington School of the Ballet, although she has spent most of her adult years at Maryland Youth Ballet. Ms. Ferguson graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Ballet Pedagogy and then went on to dance professionally with the Nashville Ballet, the Atlanta Ballet & several local modern companies, including Bowen McCauley Dance and Dana Tai Soon Burgess and Company. She has taught ballet as a guest teacher for the Georgetown University Dance Company (GUDC) for 6 years, and acted as the Interim Director of GUDC for the Spring 2014 semester. Ms. Ferguson is a certified Polestar-Pilates trainer and has taught at Body Dynamics, Inc., the Kirov Academy, Fit for Life DC, and currently at Core Studios, Inc. She has been teaching at the Maryland Youth Ballet since 2010.
