Early Dance Division The Early Dance Division includes: Dance With Me (ages 2 to 3 with adult), Little Dancer (ages 3 to 4) and Creative Movement (ages 4 to 5) classes.  Students are given an early introduction to dance through music and movement. Introductory Division The Introductory Division includes: Intro I (5 yr. olds), Intro II (6 yr. olds), and Intro III (7 yr. olds).  Students are introduced to basic ballet vocabulary, learn classroom etiquette and develop coordination through fun movement exercises. Academy Lower School The lower school provides students with progressive levels of ballet training that focus on developing basic technique and strength.  It includes levels Beginner, Intermediate and Preparation for Pointe. Academy Upper School The upper school continues to build-upon student’s technique and physical strength.  Pointe work for girls is introduced and developed.  Ballet training in this division focuses on perfecting technique, developing artistry and preparing students for a professional career.  It includes levels Beginner Pointe, Intermediate Pointe, Advanced Pointe, and Pre- Professional. Young Men’s Classes Boys follow parallel courses of study that is specifically geared towards strength and partnering. Separate coaching is scheduled for young men enrolled in the Upper School. Studio Company MYB’s Studio Company is a select group of talented ballet dancers chosen by audition or invitation.  The Company bridges the gap between student and professional dancer by maximizing personal coaching and performing.  The studio company is directed by Christopher Doyle, choreographer and former member of The Washington Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and Milwaukee Ballet. Modern Electives MYB’s modern elective classes are for students in the Academy’s Intermediate through Pre- professional levels with a focus on the Horton technique. modern
