Summer Policies

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Early Dance Division and Introductory Division
Placement in the Early Dance Division (ages 2-4) and the Introductory Division (ages 4-8) is by age. Child must be minimum age by September 1st of the previous school year.

Academy Division
All children 8 years and older must be seen by MYB faculty before being accepted into the summer and/or school year program. Please note that Maryland Youth Ballet is not a good fit for all children. Our classical ballet training is rigorous and enrollment each year depends on technical ability, individual physical facility and development, and class space availability.

– Children age 8-9 years with little or no previous ballet experience will not do a formal audition but will be evaluated. This process takes around 15 minutes.
– Students 9 years and older with prior ballet experience must take an audition class.
– Students 14 years and older must have prior training on pointe.
The fee to audition is $25. Please call 301-608-2232 or to submit an audition request CLICK HERE.
