MYB at Wolf Trap’s Theatre-in-the Woods
Early Dance Session (ages 2 – 5)
Introductory dance and movement classes that meet once per week.
6-week session; June 17 – July 28

Ballet Technique for Children (ages 5 – 9)
Twice per week ballet classes including an all-boys Saturday class option.
Four, 1-week sessions; July 1 – July 26
Tuition: $36/wk (minimum 2 week registration required); Boys- $70/4-weeks

All Day Dance (ages 7 – 11)
Students will participate in a fun dance-filled week with technique classes and introductions to other styles of dance.
1-week session; M-F 9:00 – 4:00 pm
Session I (ages 7-9): June 24 to June 28
Session II (ages 9-11): July 29 to August 2
Tuition: $350/week
Children’s Ballet Workshop (ages 8 – 11)
Audition Required
Weekly classes for students with at least one to two years of previous ballet training. Workshop includes technique, stretch, terminology, ballet history and repertory. Technique Only allows students to study in a daily class M-F.
Four, 1-week sessions; M-F evenings
July 1 – July 26
Beginner (ages 8-9 with at least 1-yr experience) and Intermediate (ages 9-11 with at least 2-yrs experience)
Workshop: 4:15 – 7:15 pm; Tuition: $150/wk
Technique Only: 4:15 – 5:45 pm; Tuition: $100/wk
Festival & Summer Intensive (ages 10+)
Audition Required
Festival provides students with an intense five week, full-day program and offers a wide range of classes including: daily technique, character, jazz, core conditioning, pointe, men’s technique and repertory. The five week session culminates with performances during the last week. Intensive affords the same range of classes and full day dance opportunities without the rehearsal and performance element with weekly enrollment. Technique Only option allows students to take a daily technique class with weekly enrollment.
Level I- Students must be 10 years or older and have had at least three years of previous ballet training. Level II & III- Students must have had at least four years of previous ballet training, including at least one year of pointe work for girls.
Festival: July 1 – August 3
M – F (8:45 am – 4:00 pm); Tuition: $1890/5 weeks (MYB students- $1680/5 weeks)
Intensive: July 1 – July 26
M – F (8:45 am - 4:00 pm); Tuition: $420/wk
Technique Only: July 1 – July 26
M – F (8:45 am – 10:15 am); Tuition: $100/wk
Ballet Boot Camp (ages 15 – 25)
Audition Required
For the serious advanced ballet dancer wanting to prepare for the new season. BBC will have the specific focus on improving all aspects of the dancer’s ballet technique. In addition to daily ballet technique classes will include Pointe, Men’s Technique, Pas de Deux, Pirouettes, Petite Allegro & Batterie, Port de Bras, Floor Barre® and conditioning.
Two, 1-week sessions; August 5 – 16
M – F, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm
Tuition: $450/week
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration for all programs opens on March 8, 2013. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. All payments must be made via cash or check only. A $25 fee will be applied for all returned checks.
An audition is required prior to acceptance and enrollment for all students 8 years old and up wishing to enroll in the Children’s Ballet Workshop (full or technique only), Intensive (full or technique only), Festival or Ballet Boot Camp.
