Maryland Youth Ballet - Summer Session

Children's Summer Session
June 30 - August 2, 2008
(No class July 4th)

For children 2-1/2 years and older who wish to take one class a day from one to five days a week.

Early Dance Division
5 week Sessions

Little Dancer for 2-1/2 to 4 year olds / $75

Tuesdays 12:00 - 12:45pm
Wednesdays 12:00 - 12:45pm, 1:00 - 1:45pm
Thursdays 10:00 - 10:45am, 11:00 - 11:45am

Creative Movement for 4 year olds / $75

Wednesdays 2:00 - 2:45pm, 3:00 - 3:45pm
Saturdays 9:00 - 9:45am, 10:00 - 10:45am

Intro to Ballet for 5 year olds new to MYB / $75

Wednesdays 1:30 - 2:15pm
Saturdays 11:00 - 11:45am

Intro II/III for Boys for 7-11 years old / $85

Saturdays 10:00 - 11:00am

Introductory Division
Minimum 2 week enrollment

Ballet I for 5 & 6 year olds, w/one year Ballet I

1:30-2:15pm Tuesday & Thursday, $35/week

Ballet II for 6 & 7 year olds, w/one year Ballet II

2:30-3:30pm Tues, Weds, Thurs, $55/week

Ballet III for 7, 8, & 9 year olds

3:30-4:30pm Tues, Weds, Thurs, $55/week

Intro II/III for Boys, 7-11 years old

10:45-12:00 noon Thursday, $17/week

The uniform for girls for all classes is pink ballet shoes, pink tights, and any solid color leotard. The uniform for boys for all classes is a white T-shirt, white socks, white shoes, and black tights or black dance shorts.

Junior and Advanced Divisions
Minimum 2 week enrollment

Beginner: For 8 & 9 year olds with at least one year of ballet training.

1:30-3:00pm T-W-Th, $60/week, June 30-Aug 2

Intermediate: For 9 & 10 year olds with at least two years of ballet training.

3:00-4:30pm T-W-Th, $60/week, June 30-Aug 2

Level I: Students must be 11 years or older and have had at least three years of previous ballet training. Daily technique class.

9:15-10:45am, M thru F, $100/week, June 30-July 25 only

Level II: Students must have had at least four years of previous ballet training, including at least one year of pointe work. Daily technique class with pointe.

8:45-10:45am, M thru F, $130/week, June 30-July 25 only

Level III: Students must have had at least two years of pointe work. Daily technique class with another class of pointe & variations.

8:45-11:45am, M thru F, $165/week, June 30-July 25 only

Current MYB students in the Jr. & Adv. Divisions have two weeks of class already included in their tuition.

NOTE: Current MYB students have two weeks of summer classes in the Junior or Advanced Division included in their annual tuition.
