Class Rates
Payments for individual classes, class cards, and workshops may be made online only. Payment must be handled before the start of class. Tuition is non-refundable.
In-Studio Drop-In Class Rates:

*Discounted rate applies to Seniors (65+), MYB Alum Professional Dancers (min 50% of total income derived from dance), Professional Dancers (min 50% of total income derived from dance), Students in a Professional Dance Training Program, or College Students (currently enrolled in full-time college program). Pre-Register for a Class
Pre-register and pay for classes in advance using MINDBODY online. Reservations for drop-in classes will be accepted online six months in advance up to the start of class for in-studio classes and up to 20 minutes prior to the start of class for virtual classes (space permitting).
-If there is a waitlist, you can sign up for the waitlist until 45 minutes before class.
-Cancellations for drop-in classes will be accepted online up to the start of class for in-studio classes and up to 20 minutes prior to the start of class for virtual classes.
-If there are less than 3 students signed up by the cutoff, the class will be canceled for that day.
Virtual Class Rules
Please be on time and refrain from joining your virtual class more than 10 minutes after a class has started.
Please mute your mic during class and save questions for appointed times.
In-Studio Class Rules
No one may enter a class 10 minutes after a class has started. This is for your own safety and the respect of your fellow dancers and teachers.
No in person check in is allowed.
Please silence cell phones before entering the class.

Age Requirement
All adult classes are open to students ages 13 and up.
What to wear
While we do not have an adult dress code, we suggest wearing athletic or dance wear that you are comfortable in and can move your arms and legs without restrictions. Form fitting clothing is preferred so that faculty can give you corrections on alignment and placement. Ballet shoes are recommended for ballet.
Inclement Weather and Emergency Closure Policy
1- If the Federal Government closes for inclement weather, MYB facilities will also close.
2- In case of other emergency closures, MYB will follow recommendations from Montgomery County Police and/or Fire Department.
3- If there are no changes posted, that means MYB is operating on schedule.
ADULT CLASSES
In case of inclement weather, please check the MYB website and our Facebook page for updates. MYB will conduct scheduled VIRTUAL only classes unless weather conditions interrupt service.
Redeeming Pre-COVID Class Cards
If you purchased a class card before March 14, 2020, that you would like to use for our current classes, in-studio or virtual, email adult@marylandyouthballet.org to have your card reactivated. Please allow up to 24 hours for the conversion to take place. You will receive email notification when your request has been completed.
