Youth ages 8-12
The Youth Division provides students with progressive levels of ballet training that focus on developing basic technique and strength. The curriculum is specifically designed for children ages 8-12 and all classes are taught with live piano accompaniment. This division includes levels 1-3.

Registration for the Youth Division is open throughout the year. The school year runs September through June. Acceptance and placement is determined by audition for new students and teacher recommendation for returning students. Placement and advancement is by ability, not age.
AUDITION PROCESS
• Students 8-10 years old with little or no ballet experience, must first request a beginner check. Student will be led through a series of exercises to help faculty determine the child’s suitability for classical ballet training. Turn-out, flexibility, alignment, leg line, foot line, and coordination will be evaluated.
• Students 8 years and older with previous ballet experience (taking at least 2x per week), must first request an audition.
