Larson Fund

The Skip Larson Production Fund was established in 2023 to honor the life of MYB friend Skip Larson.

Skip Larson, husband of retired MYB Artistic Director, Michelle Lees, was an integral part of the MYB community for 42 years providing his expertise in scenic and set design, building props for our productions, building barres for our studios, and regular appearances in the Party Scene of our annual production of The Nutcracker. He was a warm, generous, and dear friend to many at MYB.

Skip and Michelle met while touring internationally with the American Classical Ballet with Rudolph Nureyev and later became engaged when touring with the National Ballet. Their engagement party was hosted by Freddie Franklin and Dame Margot Fonteyn.
