The Nutcracker and The Mini-Nut return to the stage!
Experience the Magic
Magical dolls, life-sized mice, dancing snowflakes, and an enchanting kingdom of sweets return to stage this holiday season for Maryland Youth Ballet’s full-length production of The Nutcracker (December 19-27). Set to Tchaikovsky’s timeless score, the incredible dancing and dazzling costumes bring to life the classic story of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince.
Also presenting The Mini-Nut (December 6 & 7), MYB’s abbreviated version of The Nutcracker, geared towards younger audiences. This one hour version is a great introduction to ballet for our youngest theatre goers. A perfect holiday mini-treat!

Nutcracker Ticket Info
-Tickets to The Nutcracker are being sold through MYB via On the Stage.
–Everyone, regardless of age, needs to have a ticket to be admitted to the performance.
-There are NO REFUNDS for purchased tickets.
-Exchanges must be requested in writing at least 72 hours before the start of the show you have bought tickets for. Exchanges will be contingent upon seat availability. You must email: tickets@marylandyouthballet.org. Please do not call MYB to request exchanges.
-For accessible seating, email tickets@marylandyouthballet.org to purchase tickets.
-For groups of 10+, email tickets@marylandyouthballet.org to purchase at the group rate.
-In person ticket sales will begin 1 hour before each show and will be sold at the door rate.

– Tickets to The Mini-Nut are being sold through the Cultural Arts Center.
– ALL ticketing questions should be emailed to: cac@montgomerycollege.edu. Responses can be expected within 24 hours.
– The box office phone line will only be open 2 hours prior to curtain.
– Children under 2 years of age may sit on the lap of a paying adult. Otherwise, all patrons must have a ticket and a seat of their own.
Sensory Friendly Performance of The Mini-Nut
Sunday, December 7th, 3:00pm
Join us for a special sensory-friendly performance of The Mini Nut! This unique holiday experience is designed for adults and children of all abilities, including individuals with sensory sensitivities, autism, and neurodiverse learning needs. We are creating a welcoming environment with adjusted sound and lighting, as well as an introduction to the ballet characters to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Celebrate the magic of the holiday season with a performance that embraces diversity and accessibility for all, making this timeless ballet a joyful and inclusive event for the entire community. All are welcome!
- House lights will stay up with no flashing or strobe lights.
- Sound volume will be lower and any potential loud noises from the stage will be restricted.
- Audience may leave and return to their seats.
- Audience may talk during the performance.
- Fidget objects, noise-reducing headphones, and other sensory tools or devices are allowed inside the theater during the performance.
- Wheelchair accessible seating is available but must be reserved in advance.
Girl Scouts at the Ballet
Join MYB for The Nutcracker and stay after the performance to participate in a special question & answer session. Following the 1:00 pm performance on December 20 and 21, the audience will be invited to remain in the theater to talk with the dancers from the show. Badges may be available for purchase at the boutique table.

Please note: Girl Scout groups are welcome at any performance of The Nutcracker, however the Q & A will only take place on the dates listed above. Girl Scouts are responsible for distributing tickets to their group.
